100g of Borax Power Flux for Metal Casting and Soldering (including Gold, Silver, Copper and  Aluminium)

Borax Powder (Borax Decahydrate) flux is used when melting and casting metals, by torch or in a furnace. During the melting process the addition of Borax to the molten metal will help improve the flow of the molten metal flow and prevent oxidisation.

The Borax Powder can be also be used to glaze the Ceramic Crucibles/ Melting Dishes to extend their working life. This can be done by heating the crucible and sprinkling Borax on to the inner surface and reheating the crucible until the surface is glazed. Repeat until the whole of the surface is glazed.
