Delft Clay is an easy way to create inexpensive castings from almost any solid material from wax to wood.
The Delft Clay Method is a highly refined form of sand casting. Delft Clay is much finer than casting sand,
providing remarkably sharp and highly detailed castings in gold, silver, copper-based alloys, pewter, etc. Castings produce very fine detailed castings requiring very little finishing. The Delft Clay can be reused multiple times after any burnt or scorched clay is removed after casting.
Since this is a cold-moulding process, moulds can be made from patterns composed of wood, wax, epoxy, plastics, and, of course, metal. The delft clay casting system is a type of sand casting, therefore it is best suited to producing castings without pronounced undercuts.
 
The 100mm Aluminium Casting Ring features:
- 2 precision made interlocking rings to ensure perfect alignment.
- Outer dimensions 100mm diameter and overall 85mm, 4.5mm wall thickness for added durability.
- 25mm side hole, to allow the mould to be used vertically or horizontally,
- 6 holes in the in locking rings allow the easy venting of castings.
- Steel clamp allows the two halves of the casting ring to be securely held together when casting.
 
The brass mandrel is used to form the passage within the sand mould that the molten metal will pass through. The Mandrel is length is 50 mm Max diameter 14 mm and 2.95 mm shank.
